It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to present before you our report as Chairman of our prestigious Lions Service Fund Dist 323 A2
Our “Temple of Service, rendering 23 years of healthcare to the needy at charitable charges, has grown with the exceptional strength and support from our Hon Managing Trustees, Lion Basantraj Mehta and Lion Rajnikant Shah since the day of inception. Our tiny habits in increasing our skills by upskilling and adapting to the ever changing world, getting proper tools and resources, starting small and thinking large has enabled us to reach this far. Acquiring the “Skills of Change” is like mastering any other set of skills, making us recognize the learning of the desired skill to achieve mastery by simply practicing them.

A premier 50 Bed Multi-specialty Hospital functions for the benefit of the masses. Being centrally located, it is easily accessible by public transport. The Hospital provides comprehensive medical care with its multi-pronged approach ranging from Out-patient Services, In-patient Services, Maternity and Gynecology services, NICU and Pediatric services, Surgical Care of all kinds e.g. Knee Replacement, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Dental Care, Physiotherapy, Sonography, Radiology, Dialysis, Cardiology, Ophthalmology including Cataract and Retina surgeries, Pathology, Pharmacy and Optical Shop. Also state of art Intensive Care Unit (I.CU.) offer our services at heavily subsidized charges as prevalent in our other medical services. Lions Hospital, being a reputed trust venture, runs on charitable rates which are 40% cheaper than the other hospitals. Our Dialysis Centre is a fullfledged dedicated unit running on shifts with 13 State-of-the-art Dialysis Machines. Our Cardiology Department is equipped with the finest Tread Mill Test (TMT) Machine to determine cardiac stress tests. Our Ophthalmology Department, is the first and oldest department, to have started with the Sight First Lions International Mission and caters to patients from far and wide for ophthal care and cataract surgeries at rock bottom rates. Lions Hospital has been observed and recognized as one of the best healthcare service provider at most effective charitable rates and this has enabled us to be empanelled with Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) scheme of Government of Maharashtra whose objective is to provide cashless quality medical care to beneficiaries under the scheme for catastrophic illnesses requiring hospitalization for surgeries and therapies
under identified specialty services through network of health care providers. MJPJAY is a flagship health insurance scheme of Government of Maharashtra. The scheme provides end to end cashless services for identified diseases through a network of service providers from Government and Private sector. The scheme earlier was known as Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana. To start with this yojana, we have our Dialysis under the scheme and running at full load with an additional shift to cater to the large intakes.

"END THE WORLD PANDEMIC MISSION"
Lions Hospital was one of the government approved authorized Covid-19 vaccination centres and had procured Covishield doses of vaccines directly from the Serum Institute of India. I am proud of my Hospital and the dedication of our management to take a call to make the vaccines available at subsidized rates from the government approved tariff. Our aim was to use the surplus doses, to get everyone vaccinated while ensuring that no vaccine gets wasted. Unlike other global battles, this is one battle that we are all fighting together globally.

“Giving is just not about making a donation but in making a difference”. It give me great joy to inform about our Cardiology department with exceptional Cardiologists on Board and a repeat Donor who has donated funds for our computerized TMT Machine with the system and printer under his CSR initiative. Now we have a dedicated TMT Room hosting the machine fully equipped with uninterrupted power supply and computerized report generation.
"GYNAECOLOGYDEPARTMENT/MATERNITYWARD/NICU"
Our gynecology department is spreading its wings with a newly designed 3 bedded maternity ward with complete privacy, a basic NICU equipment to cater to neonatal care, and a team of top class gynecologists and pediatricians. The scope is large and we have developed unprecedented goodwill in the society.

Right from catering to the safety of people and equipment by taking medical and equipment insurance, expansion of newer departments, following a systematic maintenance of the interior and the exterior of the Hospital with thorough checking, cleaning, rectifying & altering, catering to patient care in our best capacity with passion, compassion and empathy. This collective work atmosphere has brought us the coveted “Swachh Navi Mumbai Award” standing 1st in our Zone and standing 2nd in the entire Navi Mumbai forthreeconsecutiveyears.

We truly work towards achieving the best results to adhere to safety norms and have worked hard over the several years in maintaining and sustaining the risk assessment steps and fulfilling the standard safety norms to achieve the third time renewal NABH accreditation every two years.

People who hold positions of caliber many times do not remember or conform to time commitments and appointments for a meeting. Here I beg to differ. I am surrounded by office bearers who follow a daily/ weekly schedule committed to give their valuable time and inputs which transforms to great planning for the entire year. This results In avoiding embarrassment and confrontations at every level of decision making. My team of Office bearers and Board of Trustees along with the Medical Director is a team every institution yearns for and I am privileged to have them with me at all times.

It gives me great pleasure and utmost satisfaction to show my gratitude to all our Doctors, Consultants, Expert personnel in the field of medicine, Nursing and assistants Staff, all our technicians, ground staff, admin and accounts team, security and housekeeping staff for their cent percent input by their dedication and commitment. This has enabled the Hospital to function on auto mode and we as management have intrinsically created this phenomenon by our regular intervention and guidance.
World Kidney Day, World Health Day, World Cancer Day, World Diabetes Day and International Women’s Day were celebrated with Health Care Orientation measures. We have held several Medical Check-up camps with lecture demonstrations on health care related topics both in-house as well as outreach programmes.
